The World Famous Clown Motel

521 N Main St Tonopah 1985

When David suggested we do The Clown Motel, I had no hesitation. Situated a few hundred miles from Vegas, this goofball earns its place among the dead motels by having its own graveyard (where the owners are buried) as well as allegedly being haunted. Full of clowns and haunted… yikes.

I wanted to give this a country theme with this cross-lap frame held together with purple buttons. I love that David made the sun into a clown nose and positioned it perfectly in the sky. I decided the more buttons the better, so I double-plugged each joint and was able to keep the nose sun in row with them
